May Community Fund Recipients
We were delighted to support several fantastic local initiatives through our May Community Fund, providing vital funding to groups that make a real difference in our community. If your group or organisation is working to improve life in our community, there's still time to apply for the next round of funding. Don't miss your chance – applications for our Community Fund close on the 8th of August!
Boyle Athletic Club - Sport and Health & Wellbeing: To purchase a gazebo and go towards coaching.
Boyle Arts Festival - Event, Education, Arts & Culture: To further diversify the programme.
Boyle Family Resource Centre - Arts & Culture, Health & Wellbeing, Community: To organise a festival on the 19th of September.
Gaelscoil Cnoc Na Re, Education - Green Initiative: To begin work on creating a sensory space/garden.
St. Paul’s National School, Collooney- Green Initiative, Education: To create a school garden where students can learn about healthy eating and sustainability.
Drumcliffe Community Games - Arts & Culture, Health & Wellbeing: To source a container and install lighting, to store equipment, etc.
Cumann na mBunscoil, Arts & Culture: Organisation of Gaelic Games competitions in primary schools in Sligo.
Queer Shed Sligo (Ballisodare) - Arts & Culture, Event: Group events.
Relay For Life - Arts & Culture, Event: Fundraising initiative to buy a gazebo for the event.
Coolera Strandhill Camogie - Sport, Event: Newly established part of the club. They want to enter a team in the U12 Sligo/Mayo Camogie League.
Cairde Arts Festival - Arts & Culture: To introduce a new two-day celebration in Queen Maeve's Square.
Mercy College Sligo - Sport, Health & Wellbeing, Education: To support the development of a sports astro pitch.
- Rosses Point Tidy Towns - Health & Wellbeing, Green Initiative: To purchase two benches to place in the centre of Rosses Point.
