2023 Community Fund Recipients
Launched earlier this year, Sligo Credit Union's Community Fund provides assistance to small organisations for their community projects. This year, we are delighted to have awarded several community groups, who joined us last Thursday for a small Community Fund gathering on International Credit Union Day!
2023 Community Fund Recipients
- Aughamore Alzheimers: The continuation of a Sensory Garden.
- Cranmore Community Co-op Community: Community Mentoring & Advocacy Programme.
- Down Syndrome Sligo: Surfing Camps for members.
- Strandhill Community First Responders: The supply and installation of an automated external defibrillator (AED), at the Queen Maeve Trail carpark.
- Sligo Indoor Bowling Club: Updating equipment, new bowling mat.
- Molloway Community Group: The fitting of two free swing doors that would allow easy access to members.
- St. Edwards National School: Installation of an all-in-one Sensory Pod.
- St. Mary's GAA Club: To continue Cuil Eile and GAA All Stars camps for children with additional needs.
- Nazareth Village Residents: The purchase of a bingo machine for residents.
- Sligo Town Ladybirds: To help with the reformation of the Sligo Town Ladybirds.
- Sligo Children's Community Garden: Insulating the community group's 'Story Shed' by using sustainable methods.
- Merville United Girls: To hire pitches allowing the club to continue coaching the girl teams.
- Lower Heatherview Residents Association: Estate management.
