Welcome Boyle Credit Union Members
On behalf of the Board of Directors, Management and Staff we wish to welcome all members of Boyle Credit Union to Sligo Credit Union.
As agreed, our new name Northwest Credit Union will be formally introduced in the coming weeks once it is registered with the Central Bank. In the intervening period, the credit union will be called Sligo Credit Union.
You can continue to avail of all existing services from your Credit Union, along with all additional Sligo Credit Union services.

As the transfer progresses over the next few days, we have some important updates for Boyle members.
- The Boyle Credit Union website will be redirected to www.sligocu.ie from 5pm on Friday the 24th of January.
- Boyle members will have full access to Sligo Credit Union's website by 7pm on Monday the 27th of January.
- Boyle members must download the Sligo Credit Union APP, available on Google Player and the App Store. You will be able to log in with your existing Member Number and PIN.
- The Boyle office will remain closed until 11am on Wednesday the 29th of January.
1. Member Number: Your existing member number remains the same.
2. Boyle Branch opening hours: Our office opening hours have been extended. You can also use the offices in Collooney, Drumkeerin, and Sligo town. The opening hours of our branches are available at www.sligocu.ie.
3. Existing Loans and Savings: Your loan and savings balances will be transferred to Sligo Credit Union on the 29th January 2025? Your existing loan with Boyle Credit Union will remain in place, subject to its current terms and conditions. You can continue to pay your loan as normal. The free loan protection cover on your loan and the amount of free life savings cover on your shares will remain the same. The maximum savings limit in Sligo Credit Union is €35,000.
4. Online Banking: You can apply for free Online Banking at www.sligocu.ie. The Sligo Credit Union APP can be downloaded on Google Player and the App Store. You will be able to log in with your existing Member Number and PIN.
5. Identification: The Credit Union is required to keep up-to-date photo ID and proof of address on file for all our members as required under the Criminal Justice Act 2010 (Section 33). We would appreciate if you could call into any of our branches at your earliest convenience with your photo ID and proof of address, where we will update your account details for you.

In exceptional circumstances, if you are unable to provide a suitable form of ID or Proof of address, please contact Sligo Credit Union and we can further advise.
6. Payment Options: You can make cash, cheque, and debit card payments in any of our branches. As a member of Sligo Credit Union, you will keep your existing unique BIC and IBAN which enables you to transfer funds directly to your Credit Union account.
You may also have your wages or social welfare payments made directly to your account.
7. Current Accounts: You can now have a current account with your credit union with our current account and debit card. You can now manage your daily finances no matter where you are in the world.
8. Green Loans: We offer a range of ‘Green’ loan options for home improvements and eco-friendly cars. Borrow up to €100,000!
