Sligo Credit Union x The Neurology Support Centre

Sligo Credit Union is honoured to team up with The Neurology Support Centre (NSC), based in Molloway House, Ballinode, for the months of July and August to raise awareness for the centre. Founded by Declan Walsh - in response to his wife Natalie's diagnosis with Multiple Sclerosis, and ultimately PML, which has resulted in her requiring 24-hour hospital care - the NSC’s goal is to continue Natalie’s wishes and passion to lift the cloud associated with neurological conditions.

The Neurology Support Centre offers a multitude of services, including:

• Peer Support Groups
• Counselling
• Reflexology
• Art Therapy
• Mindfulness

In addition, the centre has an accessible van to facilitate transport to their Centre, or for medical appointments, and they have a very strong and active Advocacy group led by their members in place. Importantly, online support and advice is available for those who are unable to access the Centre in person.

It is with much delight that The Neurology Support Centre is holding their official launch on World Brain Day, Friday the 22nd of July. All are welcome to attend - there will be music, poetry and light refreshments. See the NSC's Facebook page for more information.
